Dear friends & family,
I’m excited to tell you about my next adventure with God!
I’m heading to New Zealand in January for 6 months where I’ll be joining Youth With A Mission (YWAM) as a student in their Discipleship Training School (DTS).
For the first 12 weeks I’ll be studying the bible in community with other students from around the world. This Study Phase of my trip will include lectures from speakers, times of worship, small group bible study, local outreach and even work duties. The next 10 weeks I’ll get to take what I’ve learned and apply it as I travel to another country to share the love of God with others.
Why YWAM? Why a mission trip?
I love that this organization dedicates 3 months to focus on your personal relationship with God. I am excited to spend this time learning, growing and serving God. I want to know fully who God is and really seek Him to see what He has for my life.
I feel called to share the love of Christ with others. I want others to know Him and experience the joy of a relationship with God. YWAM provides a great opportunity to put this desire into action.
Why New Zealand?
Because God said yes! My childhood friend and I had been talking about going on a mission trip together for many years. Even after being invited to join this trip I spent time praying and asking God to give me a clear yes or no. He has opened every door and answered every prayer with a YES.
It’s an amazing blessing that I get to go on this trip with my childhood friend, Levi Lowney.
