As things have changed rapidly in the week following Micah’s last post, I wanted to get a quick update out to everyone. I’ll keep this short – Micah will write & post a more detailed update as soon as he is able to 🙂

Just days after Micah’s last post outreach was cancelled. The base was asked not to send anyone to PNG as it has become violent towards visitors as fear is rising with the growing concern of Coronavirus. YWAM bases around the world began ending schools and sending students home as travel restrictions are being put in place at a rapid rate. NZ closed the borders to incoming travel as new Coronavirus cases were discovered and just this weekend the Prime Minister announced a 4-week lock down for everyone in country. Even local outreach opportunities will be suspended for a time due to this ‘stay at home’ order.

Through all of this there has been a lot of prayer & careful consideration. Today Micah decided to end his trip and return home to be with his family during this time of global pandemic.

While several people have struggled to even find flights, we were able to change his return ticket for a flight this coming weekend 🙂 We are so excited that Micah is coming home! Please continue to pray for safety for those who are unable to travel. Several students are still unable to leave NZ due to travel restrictions around the world. Even with tickets in hand, there have been delays and cancelled flights this past week, so we are asking for your prayers for no issues and a quick & safe journey home.

Thank you all for your love & support 🙂 – William & Tamika

PS. Micah will have the opportunity to join a YWAM Outreach in the future and may even return to NZ when borders open back up! Please continue to pray for Micah as he makes decisions on ‘whats next’ 🙂
