Hello friends and family!
This year has had quite the exciting start to it…I’m In New Zealand! I’m currently on a DTS (discipleship training school) with YWAM (youth with a mission). The goal? Well, the classic YWAM statement is “To know God and make God known” ? But in all truth that is my goal!
For those who don’t already know, the DTS I’m currently on is about 3 months of learning and growing with God and going deeper in your own personal relationship with God followed by 10 weeks of outreach in 2 different locations…more on that below 🙂
So here’s a little update on what I’ve been doing and whats next.
I’m already 2 months in! The past two months have been filled with learning and growing in my own relationship with God! It’s been full of excitement in lectures and even evangelizing to the people of Queenstown in New Zealand. Our schedule during the week is pretty jam packed with lectures and time spent growing with God and hanging out with our leaders. We have activities like evangelism every week and skit practice for outreach so we have visuals to share God’s love and truth to people. There are also just day-to-day work duties like landscaping or cleaning the place we live in. While living in community I am learning practical life skills, and living for God everyday.
This DTS has over 30 students and God’s been working in each and every person in this place! The people around me are so on fire for God and I’m so blessed to be able to call each one of them a friend.
Every week there is a new speaker and throughout the week every day we have lectures with that speaker. This last week was identity week, And we broke down our identity in Christ and the way God views us and it was a beautiful week. It was a time full of chains being broken, love and growth for everyone. As I am learning to trust in God, I trust that he’s put me in this place for a reason, he opened all the doors and sent me here. I don’t know what God has next for me after yet, but I’m choosing to follow Him and right now he wants me to be here :-). For now I know what’s next is continuing to prepare for outreach.
Outreach Update
I currently have a ticket to leave from NZ to Paupa New Guinea on April 4. As long as borders stay open and air travel is happening, my outreach team and I will be going. The plan could change in the next 3 weeks, but the hope is still 5 weeks in Paupa New Guinea/East New Britain and kokopo. And 5 weeks in East-Timor. Our goal would be to reach the unreached and share the Gospel or spend time with people who already have a new but possibly young faith who want help learning more and are ready for more of what God has for them. We would also be working with lots of kids while teaching ministry and just bringing Joy and Hope wherever we go! And lending a helping hand when it’s needed.
Prayers & Financial Support
I would love support in prayer. My outreach team is seven ladies and two guys including myself. It’s going to be quite the adventure and God’s going to do amazing things through it! Please pray for our safety and that God would be known to those who previously have not heard the Gospel.
And if you would like to help support me financially I would love help and blessings. As the unknown of cost for things could affect where we go or how we do things. The backup plan for outreach would be to stay in NZ, hopefully get extended Visas and have our outreach in New Zealand. I am excited cause I know God will provide and we will be able to share God’s love and truth wherever we go!

I’m sure your all aware of the Coronavirus and the huge uproar it’s causing around the world. Just wanted to give you all an update on the current situation that is happening here in New Zealand.
As of midnight on the 15th (Sunday) New Zealand is making anyone that’s entering the country go through a mandatory 14 day Quarantine. There has only been 5 confirmed cases of Corona Virus in NZ (which technically makes It one of the safest places to be).
But because of the drastic precautions that NZ is enforcing, this could possibly effect my teams outreach to PNG, and East Timor. Or other teams going to Indonesia and Fiji. As of now these countries could possibly begin to shut down their boarders to all foreigners. This would completely Change our 10 week outreach that we have been planning for months.
PLEASE PRAY THAT THESE BOARDERS STAY OPEN!!!!!! We are confident that no matter what, God is going to move in all the nations of the world. With or without foreign missionary.
My leaders have scheduled all our teams to leave in just 3 weeks. Regardless of boarder entries we are going to continue our mission here in New Zealand. I want to ensure everyone that this Virus is NOTHING to panic about. God’s got this situation and I am putting my trust in him along with many others. I am excited to move forward and go wherever God opens doors too! So please pray with me!
